Greencast Sweden - FAIRWAY APPLICATION ADVICE

Applicering

Greenkeepers treating fairways with Medallion TL fungicide this winter are being advised to spray using the new Syngenta Turf XC Nozzles, to optimise application timing and results.

Syngenta Nordics Business Manager, Lars Tveter, reported that a single well-timed Medallion TL application had proven to be extremely effective in preventing disease outbreaks and damaging overwinter loss of turf cover.

"New trials results have shown that its application at lower water volume, enabled by the XC Nozzle, can improve spray retention on the leaf and enhance disease control," he advised. "It gives better spray targeting onto the leaf and thatch to maximise performance of Medallion TL"

"Furthermore, lower water volume application achieved greater sprayer output per hour, which resulted in less time spent spraying, reduced costs and less disruption to play."

Lars also pointed out that fewer fills required when spraying at a lower water volume saved time and reduced any risk of spillage.

"The Syngenta Turf XC Nozzles also feature low-drift technology, which ensures more of the spray hits the intended target. That is better for sprayer operators, players and the environment," he added.

"Combined with the higher sprayer output when using a reduced water volume, there is greater opportunity to male applications at the optimum time and complete the operation in better weather conditions."
